This here is my take on the 1884 painting "Portrait of Madame X" by John Singer Sargent in Byzantine style as it includes Byzantine elements. For a Byzantine take on Madame X, instead of using a black dress, I replaced in with a purple silk one with a kind of design that neither has straps nor a zipper to hold it, rather it is just a large piece of cloth wrapped around the body held by a belt and pins. The purple silk design has to do with the purple silks only reserved for the imperial court and the character here is a Byzantine empress as seen with the crown on her head. Elements from the original painting include the table and the brown background as well as the lady's pose and physique. Another unique feature I added here was to show both front and back of the woman as a way to show in full detail the design of the dress.
